NATIONAL PROGRAM AWARD FORMS

Check out the Awards you could earn from the National Auxiliary by doing one or more of the following activities and sending in the form to your Department Chairman by the deadline:

AMERICANISM - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions that creates the most unique POP sign and/or meme showcasing the VFW Auxiliary.

BUDDY POPPY - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions for the most outstanding activity and/or event to educate their community about the VFW "Buddy”® Poppy.

HISTORIAN/MEDIA RELATIONS - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions that creates the most unique digital record of their VFW Auxiliary history since being established and publishes it to a digital platform for future members of their VFW Auxiliary.

HOSPITAL - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions for the most creative/unique activity and/or event to interact with and provide happiness to veterans in hospitals (VA and non-VA facilities).

HOSPITAL MEMBER AWARD - No. 1 "Hospital Volunteer Recruiter" Citation to one VFW Auxiliary member in each of the 10 Program Divisions who recruits the most Hospital volunteers (VA and non-VA facilities) from July 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. No. 2 "Hospital Volunteer Recruiter of the Year" Plaque awarded to one VFW Auxiliary member in the nation who recruits the most Hospital volunteers (VA and non-VA facilities) from July 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

HOSPITAL MEMBER AWARD - No. 3 "Outstanding Hospital Volunteer of the Year" Citation to the Outstanding Hospital Volunteer of the Year in each of the 10 Program Divisions.

LEGISLATIVE - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions with the largest increase in new VFW Action Corps Weekly sign-ups from the community and new VFW Auxiliary members.

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions that hosts the most outstanding "Red Carpet” event/celebration honoring VFW and VFW Auxiliary Scholarship participants.

VETERANS & FAMILY SUPPORT - No. 1 - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions forthe most outstanding promotion of VFW resources for veterans, servicemembers and their families.

VETERANS & FAMILY SUPPORT - No. 2 -Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions forthe most outstanding activity and/or event promoting resources, including thosefor PTS, and assistance for veterans and their families (resource fairs, mentalhealth clinics, etc.).

VFW NATIONAL HOME - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions for the most creative activity and/or event that demonstrates what and where the VFW National Home is and who is eligible for the services provided by the VFW National Home.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES - Citation and $25 to one VFW Auxiliary in each of the 10 Program Divisions for the most creative and/or unique VFW Auxiliary Lending Library.

DEPARTMENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

After you have the Year-End Reports done, don't forget to fill out the Achievement Award form for the opportunity to win your Auxiliary an award at convention. The completed form and any additional information should be to Sr. Vice President Marge Southworth, no later than May 1st, 2027.

Every Auxiliary should have participated in at least one program.
You need to mail all the Year-End Program Reports that you fill out to your District President.
You can find fillable forms below. You can type in your answers and print the report.
If there are any questions that you need more room to answer, you can write on the back of the printed form.
THE REPORTS MUST BE IN YOUR DISTRICT PRESIDENT’S HANDS BY APRIL 1, 2027.
